University of San Francisco has the edge for startup opportunities because of its location and day-to-day access to founders. Being in San Francisco makes it much easier to attend startup events, intern during the school year, and meet people building companies right now.

The biggest differentiator is geography. At USF, students are in one of the country’s most active startup hubs, so networking is not something that only happens through campus programming. It can happen through local meetups, part-time internships, alumni events, and conversations with people working at early-stage companies nearby.

The second differentiator is the ease of plugging into entrepreneurship while still an undergrad. USF students can more realistically combine classes with in-semester startup internships or founder exposure because companies are close by.
