LMU is in Los Angeles, close to Playa Vista, Santa Monica, Culver City, Century City, and other major job centers, which makes in-semester internships more realistic without a long commute. It also has strong visibility in entertainment, media, business, marketing, and some startup and tech-adjacent spaces that are very active in LA.

LMU tends to fit the student who wants to build a professional network while still in school and can take advantage of the city week by week. Being in West Los Angeles matters a lot when internships are part-time during the semester, since travel time can determine whether an opportunity is actually doable. For students interested in film, television, communications, music business, public relations, advertising, or business roles tied to LA companies, LMU often offers easier day-to-day access.

Chapman can be excellent for the student who wants a more traditional campus feel and is especially interested in areas where Orange County connections are useful.
