BC’s Carroll School is very well regarded by accounting firms, and its accounting program has a strong reputation with Big Four and other employers. Fordham’s Gabelli School also places students well, but a lot of its career advantage comes from location and the ability to network and intern in the city more regularly.

Boston College tends to fit the student who wants a more traditional campus experience but still wants serious accounting recruiting built into the major. The accounting curriculum is known for being rigorous and employer-facing, and BC has long-standing pipelines into public accounting, finance, and advisory roles, especially in Boston, New York, and other East Coast markets. If you like the idea of a business school environment where firms actively know the program and come looking for students, BC stands out.

Fordham makes the most sense for the student who wants to be close to internships early and often. Being in or near Manhattan can matter a lot if you want part-time semester internships, more in-person networking events, and easier access to alumni and employers during the year.
