Ohio State tends to offer the bigger, louder, more constantly active undergraduate social environment, while Lehigh feels more close-knit and contained day to day. At Ohio State, campus life is shaped by the scale of the university, Big Ten athletics, and Columbus itself, so there is almost always something happening and school spirit is very visible. At Lehigh, student life is more centered on a smaller residential community in Bethlehem, where people see familiar faces often and the campus social scene can feel more interconnected.

One major difference is how the social scene is structured. Ohio State has an enormous range of clubs, events, student organizations, campus traditions, and off-campus options, which means it is easy to find a niche but also easy to feel anonymous at first. Lehigh usually feels easier to navigate socially because the student body is much smaller, so friendships, classes, and organizations overlap more quickly, but that also means the scene can feel narrower and more repetitive if you want constant variety.
