The biggest practical tradeoff is access versus environment: NYU places you in the middle of New York recruiting and internship pipelines from the start, while Case Western gives you a smaller, more personal campus experience but with a narrower business ecosystem around it. For undergraduate business careers specifically, NYU usually has the clearer advantage because of its location and the strength of Stern’s brand with finance, consulting, marketing, and corporate recruiting. Case Western can absolutely lead to strong outcomes, but it is not as naturally plugged into the same scale of business recruiting.

At NYU, being in New York matters in a very direct way. During the school year, students can pursue part-time internships, attend employer events with far less travel friction, and build networks in industries that hire heavily from undergrad business programs.
