For finance recruiting, is Fordham or Tulane the better target school?
I’m trying to decide between Fordham and Tulane and finance is my main goal after college. I know both schools can lead to business careers, but I’m most interested in which one has a stronger reputation with employers for finance jobs and recruiting access.
I’m trying to understand which school would generally be the better target if I want to break into finance.

Fordham is the better target for finance recruiting. Its biggest advantage is location: being in New York City gives students much easier access to internships during the school year, alumni events, employer panels, and networking with banks and finance firms. That proximity matters a lot in finance, where repeated in-person exposure and semester internships can make a real difference.
Tulane can absolutely place students into finance, and it has a strong national reputation in some circles, but its recruiting footprint is less naturally plugged into the main finance centers. You can still get there from Tulane, especially with strong grades, networking, and internships, but the path is typically more self-driven and less helped by geography.
Another practical difference is the volume and timing of experience you can build before junior-year recruiting. Fordham students often have more opportunities to stack part-time internships, informational meetings, and city-based extracurricular experiences earlier in college, which helps when finance recruiting starts surprisingly early.
So if the question is specifically employer reputation and recruiting access for finance, Fordham has the clearer edge.
