Is Bucknell or the University of Richmond considered more prestigious for undergraduates?

The biggest practical tradeoff is that Bucknell tends to carry a more traditional liberal arts college reputation with a strong undergraduate focus, while the University of Richmond is often seen as slightly more nationally visible because it combines a liberal arts college feel with a university structure, including a business school and law school. In everyday perception, neither school has a clear, overwhelming prestige advantage across the board.

Bucknell is respected for its residential campus culture, strong teaching, and especially for programs like engineering and management within a mostly undergraduate-centered environment. Richmond is also very undergraduate-focused, but people sometimes read the word “university” plus its professional schools as giving it a bit more institutional heft, even though undergraduates still get a lot of attention there.
