For food, concerts, neighborhoods, internships, and day-to-day city energy, Temple gives you much more immediate access because you are already there. Villanova students can absolutely use Philadelphia, but it feels more like a destination you go into rather than the environment surrounding you every day.

Villanova is on the Main Line, which gives students access to Philadelphia by train, and that is a real advantage compared with colleges that are fully isolated in the suburbs. But it is still a suburban setting first. In practice, going into the city often takes more intention, more schedule awareness, and more time than it does at Temple, especially if you want frequent evening plans or regular internships during the semester.
