For recruiting, both schools can get you in front of major firms, including Big Four employers. The difference is that Penn is more likely to feel like it has a built-in lane for accounting, while NYU may be better for someone who wants accounting exposure but also wants to stay closer to the broader New York business ecosystem. If your goal is specifically accounting and you want the most obvious academic and recruiting pipeline, UPenn has the edge.
