If your idea of communications includes public relations, strategic communication, digital media, or broadcast-related work, ASU tends to offer more built-in career momentum.

ASU is a strong match for someone who wants a fast-moving, pre-professional environment and expects to pursue internships during the school year, not just in the summer. Its scale can be a plus here because there are many specialized tracks, student media opportunities, and industry-connected programs. The tradeoff is that a very large university can feel less personal, so students often need to be proactive about building relationships with professors and seeking out opportunities early.

That said, students who are self-directed and want a broad communication foundation rather than a heavily career-branded program can do very well there.
