University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign vs Tsinghua University for robotics: which is better for an undergraduate student?
I’m trying to choose between UIUC and Tsinghua for robotics and keep seeing both names come up as strong options. I’m a high school student interested in studying robotics in college, and I want a school with a strong program and good opportunities to get involved in research or projects.

If you expect to study or work in the U.S., especially in research, graduate school, or robotics companies there, UIUC is the more straightforward platform. If you are excited by China’s robotics and manufacturing ecosystem, comfortable with that academic culture, and want access to one of the strongest engineering networks in Asia, Tsinghua is extremely compelling.
