University of Richmond vs Brandeis for pre-med: which is better for undergraduate preparation?

For undergraduate pre-med preparation, University of Richmond often has the edge for the student who wants a more structured, closely supported path. Richmond is a small liberal arts focused university with strong faculty access, and the advantage of being near major hospital systems in Richmond for clinical exposure, volunteering, and shadowing. That combination can make it easier to build the academic and service profile med schools expect while still getting a lot of individual attention.

Richmond tends to fit the student who wants close mentoring, smaller classes early on, and a campus culture where it may be easier to stand out for recommendations and leadership. If you are the kind of student who benefits from professors knowing you well, regular advising check-ins, and a campus environment that feels more contained and personal, Richmond is very appealing for pre-med.
