At NYU, the city is the campus, so daily life means subways, corner delis, neighborhoods you can reach on foot, and constant activity at almost any hour. At ASU, you can get restaurants, nightlife, and plenty to do around Tempe, but the broader metro is much more spread out and car-oriented.

For pure city feel, NYU is on another level. Greenwich Village, nearby downtown Manhattan, and surrounding neighborhoods make it easy to live without a car and still have endless food, events, internships, museums, and late-night options within a short walk or subway ride.
