What is college life like at Purdue compared with the University of Vermont?

The biggest day-to-day tradeoff is intensity versus ease of atmosphere. UVM usually feels more relaxed, more outdoors-oriented, and more defined by Burlington’s smaller-city setting and access to Lake Champlain and the mountains.

In terms of stress, Purdue is more likely to feel high-pressure, especially in demanding majors, simply because the student culture leans ambitious and the scale of the university can make things feel less personal at times. UVM usually comes across as more breathable and balanced, though that does not mean it is unchallenging.
