The biggest practical tradeoff is city-integrated life at Fordham versus a more traditional suburban campus community at Villanova. Fordham, especially Rose Hill, gives undergrads direct access to New York internships, transit, and off-campus activity during the school year, while Villanova tends to feel more self-contained, residential, and centered on campus traditions. Both are Catholic schools with strong undergraduate teaching, but the day-to-day student experience is noticeably different.

Fordham usually appeals to students who want to use the city as part of college.
