But compared with Rice, the pre-med pipeline feels less distinctive because Rice’s immediate connection to a massive medical hub creates a more unusual advantage.

Support-wise, both schools can help you complete prerequisites and prepare for the application process, but Rice stands out more for the depth of nearby hands-on opportunities that strengthen a med school application over time.
