Is Case Western or Fordham better for business?

The biggest practical tradeoff is location and recruiting access versus overall institutional reputation in STEM-heavy fields. For business specifically, Fordham usually has the clearer edge because its business school is more established in that area and its New York City location matters a lot for internships during the school year. Case Western is a well-respected university, but it is better known nationally for engineering, science, and pre-health than for undergraduate business.

If your focus is internships, Fordham’s advantage is pretty concrete. Being in New York gives students easier access to finance, consulting, accounting, marketing, and corporate internships without having to wait for the summer. Employers in those fields, especially in the Northeast, are very familiar with Fordham’s business students, and that proximity can translate into more frequent networking events, alumni contact, and part-time in-semester experience.

Case Western can still work well for business, especially if you are interested in analytics, operations, tech-related business work, or combining business with a quantitative field. Cleveland has solid opportunities, but the scale and density of business recruiting is not the same as New York.

For pure business career value, especially if you care about internships and employer visibility, I would lean Fordham. Case Western becomes more compelling if you want a broader university with stronger STEM identity and you might blend business with data, engineering, or healthcare-related industries.
