At Fordham, it is much more realistic to take a part-time internship during a semester without turning it into a major travel project.

University of Vermont can still work well for internships, but it fits a different kind of student. UVM is in Burlington, which has local opportunities in healthcare, government, education, environmental work, and smaller businesses, but it does not offer the same day-to-day access to a major city internship market. If you are happy building experience locally during the year and then doing bigger internships in the summer, UVM can absolutely support that path.

Fordham especially suits students who want to weave internships into their normal weekly routine. Being in or near NYC matters because networking events, informational interviews, and employer panels are simply more accessible when you do not need to plan around long-distance travel. So if your priority is consistent access to internships and networking in a major city while classes are in session, Fordham has the stronger setup. UVM is more appealing for students who value Burlington and are comfortable treating internships as something they plan around rather than something built into everyday campus life.
