University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign vs UC San Diego for neuroscience: which is better for undergrads?

UC San Diego has the edge for undergraduate neuroscience. It has a dedicated neuroscience major housed within a major biomedical research environment, and undergrads benefit from being surrounded by the School of Medicine, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and nearby institutes like the Salk Institute and Sanford Burnham Prebys.
