Which school usually offers better financial aid: University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign or Georgetown?

Georgetown is usually the one more associated with stronger need-based financial aid, while UIUC is more likely to be the tougher price unless you qualify for specific merit awards or in-state tuition. Georgetown is a private university with a larger institutional role in meeting demonstrated financial need, and private schools with high sticker prices often discount more heavily for lower- and middle-income families than public flagships do.
