In long-term value terms, the better choice often comes down to whether you are paying a premium for Michigan that your family can comfortably absorb.

One clear difference is brand breadth. Michigan tends to have the more universally recognized name across business, social sciences, humanities, pre-professional paths, and graduate school circles, so if you are undecided or want the school with wider cross-field prestige, it usually has the edge.
