Which is better for internships: University of Vermont or Boston University?

For internships specifically, Boston University usually offers more immediate access and volume. Its location in Boston puts students near a very large concentration of employers in healthcare, finance, tech, media, nonprofits, government, and research, and that tends to matter a lot when you want semester-time internships without needing to relocate.

BU is especially appealing for a student who wants internships to be part of everyday college life, not just something for the summer. UVM can still work well for a student whose goals line up with Vermont and nearby regional opportunities. It makes more sense for someone interested in environmental work, sustainability, outdoor industry paths, local government, education, community health, or research connected to the university and medical center. Burlington has opportunities, but the market is smaller, so students may need to be more intentional and may rely more on summer internships or networking beyond the immediate area.
