Should I choose Northeastern or University of New Hampshire for business?

For business, Northeastern tends to offer more built-in career momentum, especially if internships, employer access, and a large-city setting matter a lot to you. Its co-op model is the biggest difference here: business students can graduate with substantial full-time work experience, and being in Boston gives easier access to finance, consulting, startups, marketing, and corporate internships during the school year.

Northeastern fits a student who wants college to feel closely tied to career preparation from the start. If you are excited by networking, moving quickly into professional settings, and using school as a launchpad into competitive internships, it has a real advantage. For many business students, that work experience matters at least as much as classroom learning because it makes recruiting smoother and helps clarify whether you actually want finance, accounting, marketing, analytics, or management.

UNH makes more sense for a student who wants a solid business education in a more traditional college environment, often with lower cost and less pressure built into the experience. Students who are proactive can still land internships and jobs, but you will usually need to push harder to build those opportunities rather than having a co-op system shape your path.

The school name matters, but not in a simple prestige-only way. For business, employer access and the ease of getting relevant experience often matter more than reputation by itself. If cost is close and you want the strongest combination of business education plus career opportunities, I would lean Northeastern. If UNH is meaningfully cheaper and you would take advantage of internships, faculty connections, and recruiting on your own, it can still be a very smart business choice.
