Boston University vs UC Santa Barbara for social life: which one is better?

The biggest practical tradeoff is city social life versus campus-centered social life. Boston University gives you Boston itself, with restaurants, concerts, internships, and a lot happening off campus, but BU’s long urban layout can make the student body feel more spread out.
