That creates more built-in momentum for going out, exploring with friends, and finding things to do beyond campus-hosted events.

Another difference is campus vibe. Case Western is often described as more academically intense and somewhat quieter socially, with a student culture that can feel more focused on classes, labs, and smaller friend groups. People absolutely make close friends there, but the social scene is usually less central to the school’s identity than it is at Tulane.

Tulane also tends to have more of the classic lively-undergrad energy, including stronger participation in campus traditions and a more visible weekend culture. Case Western has social options too, especially through clubs and student organizations, but it usually takes a bit more intention to build the kind of busy, spontaneous social life that comes more naturally at Tulane.
