The biggest practical tradeoff is location-driven access versus a larger public-university ecosystem. Fordham puts business students in New York City, which makes in-semester internships much easier and gives you day-to-day proximity to finance, consulting, media, and corporate offices. UC Davis offers the resources of a major UC campus and a respected business program, but its internship access is usually less immediate and often depends more on summer recruiting, Sacramento connections, or traveling to the Bay Area.

For internships during college, Fordham has a real edge. Being in NYC matters because students can intern part time during the semester, attend employer events more easily, and build contacts without needing to relocate for every opportunity. For business fields where networking and repeated exposure help a lot, that convenience can translate into more volume and variety of internship options.

If your top priority is maximizing internship access and near-term job placement while you are in college, Fordham has the clearer advantage. UC Davis becomes more compelling if you strongly prefer California, want the broader UC campus experience, or see yourself building your career on the West Coast rather than in New York.
