What is campus life like at the University of Maine compared with Dartmouth College?

The biggest day-to-day tradeoff is scale and intensity: the University of Maine feels more spacious, public-school casual, and regionally grounded, while Dartmouth feels smaller, more residential, and more socially concentrated around campus traditions.
