Which is considered more prestigious for college admissions and careers, UCLA or Yale?

In broad perception, Yale carries more prestige than UCLA, especially in elite admissions circles, nationally recognizable name value, and careers that put a lot of weight on institutional reputation. Yale is a private Ivy with a long-standing reputation for selectivity, small undergraduate focus, and strong placement into fields like law, academia, consulting, finance, and public service.
