Colgate can still place students into finance, and it has a loyal alumni network that can be very helpful, especially in fields where personal connections matter. But the path is less built-in and more self-directed. You are more likely to need to hustle for off-campus networking, travel, and internship timing in ways that NYU students can often manage more naturally during the academic year.

Another concrete difference is academic positioning. If you are admitted to Stern, that carries especially strong weight for finance recruiting because it is a known undergraduate business school with a long-established reputation in the field.
