If you are undecided, interested in changing fields, or want the widest set of academic and career options, Ohio State has a real advantage. If you already know Clemson has the program and environment you want, that fit can be worth paying for, but only if the cost is close.

At out-of-state prices, Clemson is harder to call a clear value winner unless there is a specific reason it serves your goals better. Ohio State’s size matters in a practical way: more course offerings, more specialized departments, stronger national employer visibility across many fields, and a very large alumni network.

Clemson’s appeal is real, though.
