Arizona State University vs. University of Vermont: which has a better campus environment?

UVM’s Burlington campus has a classic New England feel with lots of green space, brick buildings, and easy access to Lake Champlain, downtown, and outdoor recreation. It feels cohesive and scenic in a way that stands out if you want a campus that is pleasant to wander and spend time in.

Burlington is one of its biggest advantages: you get a smaller college-city setting, a more intimate layout, and a vibe that blends outdoorsy, artsy, and relaxed. Students who like seasons, trees, and a campus that looks and feels traditional usually find UVM more charming.

ASU fits a different kind of student. The Tempe campus has a lot of energy, a bigger social scene, and strong school spirit, and many students enjoy the palm trees, mountain views, and warm weather for most of the year. It can be very lively and appealing if you like an urban, active environment with lots going on, but it is less likely to feel picturesque or cozy in the same way as UVM.
