That can make it easy to find people and things to do, but the size of the campus and student body means the environment can feel fast-moving and a little impersonal unless you carve out your own smaller communities.

DU has a more compact, private-school feel. Students still have access to a social scene, clubs, athletics, and city life in Denver, but the campus itself usually feels calmer and more manageable on a daily basis. You’re more likely to recognize people, get a stronger sense of campus community, and avoid that constant big-campus intensity.
