Which has better job placement outcomes: Tulane or Notre Dame?

For job placement outcomes alone, Notre Dame usually has the edge. Its alumni network is famously active, the school has a very strong national employer reputation, and it tends to produce especially strong results in fields like finance, consulting, engineering, and business. Tulane also places students well, but its outcomes are often more regionally concentrated and more dependent on how intentionally a student uses New Orleans connections and internship opportunities.

Notre Dame tends to fit the student who wants a broad, highly engaged alumni base that opens doors across many major cities. Employers often view the Notre Dame name as immediately recognizable, and alumni are known for being unusually responsive to students and recent grads. That matters a lot for internship referrals, informational interviews, and early-career hiring, especially in structured recruiting pipelines.

Tulane makes more sense for the student who wants flexibility, likes building opportunities through city-based experience, and may be drawn to areas like public health, law, hospitality, business, or policy. New Orleans gives Tulane students access to internships during the school year in a way many campuses cannot.
