If you are looking at Ross, engineering, computer science, or other high-demand fields, Michigan tends to create more sheer opportunity and more on-campus recruiting options.

Notre Dame is excellent too, but it can feel different rather than simply bigger. The alumni network is one of the school’s strongest assets, and students often describe it as unusually willing to open doors. That matters a lot for internships, referrals, and early-career networking, especially if you value a more personal and community-driven approach.

A lot depends on your intended major. Michigan is harder to beat for range and employer density, while Notre Dame often shines in the strength of its undergraduate focus and its loyal alumni culture. If you want flexibility across many industries or think you may shift interests, Michigan gives you more recruiting infrastructure to work with.
