Notre Dame is also strong in biology, but it tends to fit students who want a broader campus experience with a classic residential college feel and a big emphasis on undergraduate community.

Case Western stands out most for the student who is excited by hands-on science from the start. The university’s ties to places like University Hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic create a lot of opportunities in biomedical research, and that matters if you are already thinking about lab work, neuroscience, genetics, public health, or pre-med adjacent biology.
