How does social life at Northwestern compare to NYU for undergraduates?

Northwestern tends to offer the more cohesive undergraduate social life. Its Evanston campus creates a concentrated student community, most undergrads spend a lot of time in the same physical spaces, and weekends are more likely to revolve around campus traditions, student groups, Big Ten sports, and house parties rather than people scattering across a city.

At Northwestern, making friends often feels more built in because students live, study, and socialize in a shared campus environment. Residential life is a big part of that, and the quarter system can also make campus feel busy and high-energy because there is always something happening.
