How does campus location differ between UChicago and Cornell for undergrads?

At UChicago, the urban setting tends to make life feel more connected to things off campus. Students can use Chicago for internships during the academic year, explore downtown without needing a car, and take advantage of cultural institutions nearby like the Museum of Science and Industry and other city resources. Even though Hyde Park has its own distinct campus bubble, you are still aware that you are at a university embedded in a major metro area.

Cornell feels different because Ithaca is much smaller and the campus is physically dramatic, with hills, gorges, and a lot of distance between places. The town has cafes, restaurants, and outdoor access, but it does not offer the same constant pull of a big city.
