Is Case Western or the University of Rochester more prestigious?

If one is stronger for your intended field, that matters more than trying to identify a tiny prestige difference. In practice, most people familiar with selective private research universities would see them as peers, with Case perhaps getting a bit more attention in engineering and medicine-adjacent areas and Rochester getting a bit more in a few specialized academic fields.
