What is the George Mason commuter student experience like?

George Mason can be a solid place to commute from, but the experience is what you make of it. Mason has a large commuter population, especially at the Fairfax campus, so you would not be unusual at all, and the school is used to serving students who are not living in the residence halls. That usually means plenty of daytime activity, lots of student organizations, and campus spaces designed for students who stay between classes.
