Tulane Early Action vs Early Decision: which option makes more sense if I'm interested but not fully committed?
I'm a senior and Tulane is one of my top schools, but I'm still comparing it with a few other colleges. I'm trying to understand the practical difference between applying Early Action and Early Decision there, especially in terms of commitment and when each option is the better choice.
I want to apply in the way that fits my situation without making a decision I might regret later.

If you’re interested in Tulane but not ready to commit, Early Action usually makes more sense. Early Decision is binding, which means if you’re admitted and the financial aid is workable, you’re expected to enroll and withdraw other applications.
Early Decision is best for students who are sure Tulane is their first choice and are comfortable making that commitment before seeing all of their other options.
If your hesitation is mostly about cost, Early Action is often the safer route because it lets you compare aid packages side by side later. If your hesitation is more about fit, campus culture, or wanting to weigh programs at several colleges, that also points toward EA.
