How strong is Emory's undergraduate business program for someone interested in finance?

I'm a high school junior looking at colleges with good business options, and Emory keeps coming up. I'm especially interested in finance, but I'm not sure how its undergraduate business program is viewed compared to other schools.

I'm trying to figure out whether Emory is considered a strong choice for undergrad business overall, especially for internships and job opportunities in finance.

Emory is a strong choice for undergraduate business, especially if you are interested in finance. Its Goizueta Business School is well regarded nationally, and the school has a solid track record for finance recruiting, particularly in Atlanta, New York, and other major markets.

For finance specifically, Emory does well because Goizueta combines a relatively small undergraduate business program with strong employer access. That usually means more individualized advising, easier access to professors, and good opportunities to build leadership experience in finance-related clubs, student investment groups, and case competitions. Emory also benefits from a loyal alumni network and a location in Atlanta, which helps with internships during the school year as well as summer recruiting.

Compared with the very top undergraduate business powerhouses, Emory may not have quite the same volume of on-campus recruiting in every finance niche. But it is still clearly respected by employers, and students who perform well can place into investment banking, consulting, asset management, corporate finance, and related fields. In practice, Emory is often seen as a school where motivated students can stand out because the program is strong without being overwhelmingly large.
