How do I use the Colorado State University application portal after I apply?

I’m applying to Colorado State University and I keep seeing references to the application portal, but I’m not totally sure what it’s for once I submit my application.

I mainly want to understand what students usually use the portal to track or complete during the application process so I know what to watch for.

After you submit to Colorado State, the application portal is mainly your checklist and status hub.

Students usually use it to confirm that CSU received the application, see whether required materials have arrived, and check if anything is still missing. That can include transcripts, test scores if you’re sending them, residency documents, or other follow-up items.

It is also where admissions updates often show up.

What you should watch for most closely is the to-do list or checklist section, any messages or alerts, and your status update page. Check it regularly.

If you do not see all materials marked as received right away, that is normal.
