Is Drexel a good school for engineering?

I’m trying to build my college list and Drexel keeps coming up because of its co-op program. I’m interested in engineering, but I’m not sure how strong Drexel actually is in that area compared to other schools I’m looking at.

I’m mainly trying to figure out whether it has a solid reputation for engineering and if employers take it seriously.

Yes. Drexel is generally considered a solid and well-regarded school for engineering, especially if you care about hands-on experience.

Its biggest strength is the co-op program. For engineering students, that matters a lot because it lets you graduate with substantial real-world experience.

Academically, the engineering programs are respected, and Drexel offers solid options across major fields like mechanical, electrical, biomedical, civil, and chemical engineering. It may not carry the same broad prestige as a top-tier engineering powerhouse, but it is absolutely a credible choice and a strong one for students who want applied learning.

The main things to weigh are cost, the pace of the quarter system, and whether you want a co-op-centered college experience.
