How many letters of recommendation does Dartmouth require for first-year applicants?
I’m a high school senior trying to plan who I should ask for recommendations, and I want to make sure I understand Dartmouth’s recommendation requirements correctly.
I’m confused about how many teacher letters are actually required and whether a counselor letter counts separately.

Dartmouth requires 3 recommendation letters for first-year applicants in the standard setup: 2 teacher recommendations and 1 school counselor recommendation.
The counselor letter is separate from the teacher letters, so it does not replace one of the 2 teacher recommendations.
