What GPA do you need to be competitive for Boston University?
I’m a junior trying to figure out if Boston University is a realistic reach for me. My GPA is solid but not perfect, and I know BU is pretty selective.
I’m mostly trying to understand what GPA range makes someone competitive there, not an exact cutoff.

Boston University does not have a strict GPA cutoff, but to be competitive you should generally be in the A to A- range in a rigorous course load.
What matters a lot at BU is not just the number, but the context. They pay attention to course rigor, so a slightly lower GPA with strong AP, IB, or honors classes can look better than a higher GPA in less challenging courses.
