Can Boston College business school students choose an undergraduate major right away or do they apply to a specific major later?

I’m a high school junior looking at Boston College and I’m trying to understand how the business school works at the undergrad level. I know Carroll has different business majors, but I’m confused about whether you enter Boston College already assigned to one or if you start more generally in the business school and declare later.

I’m interested in business but not completely sure which area yet, so I’m trying to figure out how much flexibility students usually have.

At Boston College, students applying to the Carroll School of Management apply to the business school as a whole, not to a specific undergraduate business major.

Once enrolled, you start within Carroll and usually take core coursework before declaring your major later. That means you do have flexibility if you know you want business but are not yet sure whether you want accounting, finance, marketing, management and leadership, information systems, economics, or another Carroll option.

Boston College does admit by school, though, so the important upfront choice is applying to Carroll versus another undergraduate division like Arts and Sciences.
