Florida State is more widely known for high-visibility, campus-wide school spirit, particularly around football. Game days in Tallahassee, garnet-and-gold traditions, the Marching Chiefs, the War Chant, and the Osceola and Renegade pregame ceremony create a major shared social rhythm for students and alumni. Georgetown has real pride and recognizable traditions, but its spirit is more concentrated around basketball and smaller campus communities. Hoya basketball, the Hoya Saxa chant, student sections at Capital One Arena, and events such as Georgetown Day can generate strong enthusiasm.
