For a senior whose top priority is a broadly supportive, familiar undergraduate community where academics and social life overlap closely, Dartmouth likely has the clearer edge. For someone who wants collaborative culture alongside more academic breadth, a larger peer network, and access to a major city, Northwestern can be an equally supportive fit, but it may require more initiative to find a close community.
