What counts as leadership activities on the Fordham application?
I’m applying to Fordham and I’m not sure how broad they mean by “leadership” when listing activities. Most of my experience is things like leading a club project, mentoring younger students, and taking initiative in volunteer work, not just having an official title.
I’m trying to figure out what kinds of roles or examples actually make sense to include as leadership on the application.

For Fordham, leadership is broader than just holding a formal title. If you regularly guided others, organized a project, made decisions, trained people, or took responsibility for moving something forward, that can count as leadership.
The examples you mentioned absolutely fit. Leading a club project, mentoring younger students, and taking initiative in volunteer work are all legitimate leadership experiences if you can describe what you actually did and what impact you had.
On the application, think in terms of responsibility and influence. Good leadership examples include coordinating events, managing a team, starting a new initiative, serving as a captain or officer, tutoring or mentoring in a structured way, heading part of a group project, training new members, or stepping up to solve a problem even without a title.
If you had no official title, you can still present the role clearly in the activity description.
I would avoid stretching ordinary participation into leadership if you were mainly just a member. But if you consistently took initiative, directed part of the work, or supported others in a meaningful way, it is reasonable to list that as leadership.
