Emory is social in a more low-key, relationship-driven way. Students commonly build their circles through residence halls, student organizations, service activities, academic communities, and smaller off-campus outings in Atlanta neighborhoods. There are parties, Greek life, concerts, and campus events, but the atmosphere tends to be less centered on a big-party identity and more on friend groups making their own plans.

Miami offers an unusually active city backdrop and warm weather that make spontaneous outings easier, though transportation and cost can shape how often students take advantage of the city. Emory may suit a student who still wants a busy social calendar but prefers a tighter-knit campus culture where clubs, shared interests, and close friend groups are the main way plans come together.
